This test is designed to help you understand your readiness for Calculus I (Math 226). The results of the test will tell you if there are any precalculus topics that you need to review. You should share your test results with your calculus instructor, who will tell you what to do next.
You earn one point for each question you get right and lose 0.3 points for each wrong answer. Wild guesses are likely to count against you, so only answer questions when you think you know the right answer.
When you finish the test, the computer will show you a screen with your score and an analysis of your results. An official e-mail receipt of your score will be sent to the e-mail address you enter below. Your calculus instructor may ask to see this e-mail. If for some reason you do not receive your e-mail receipt, check with the Mathematics Department office. Department staff may be able to recover your score from a database of readiness scores.
Before starting the test, you need to give us some information so we can associate your score with you.
