This is a book project.

A big part of the tex will be based on the papers [44, 47, 49, 50]. In particular, a new exposition of the proof of the nilpotence conjecture will be presented. It is conceptually clearer and substantially shorter. No longer is there a need to invoke the following works whose results can now be deduced from the new approach:

[11] (the stable version),
[15] (and Suslin's work on the special linear group over a polynomial ring it uses),
[19].

Whether there will be other parts is to be seen.

Added on 05/15/08:
In the recent prerpint of Haesemeyer-Cortinas-Walker-Weibel give a new proof of the nilpotence conjecture with use of a techniques developed in a series of their recent publications.

Currently this book project is put on hold.
