Kyle Schmaus

(CM)² Graduate Student (2010-2011)

I was born in the North Bay, and have been living in San Francisco since 2008. Before starting the masters program at SFSU, I attend Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, earning a BA in mathematics in 2007. Then, I began working as an intern high school teacher. While I enjoyed my students immensely, I soon missed the joys of higher mathematics, so I changed career paths and began my the MA program at SFSU last Fall. I'm currently studying discrete, dynamical systems with my thesis advisor, Yitwah Cheung. When I'm not doing math, I like to stay active, read, and listen to music.
