I am currently in my eleventh year of teaching, and my third year at Thurgood Marshall. I started my professional life as a tax lawyer, but after practicing for a long time I realized what I should have known in the first place: tax law is not any fun! I always loved math but changed direction in college when, like many women, I found myself struggling and felt intimidated by professors. When I decided to become a teacher, there was no question about which subject I wanted to teach. I am especially enjoying teaching geometry this year for the first time. It was always my favorite topic. I am also enjoying working with my second-year Algebra Project students and seeing them grow both mathematically and personally.

In addition to geometry, I love animals and especially spending time with my horse, Ferdinand.
