(CM)²: Creating Momentum through Communicating Mathematics

Andrew Herrmann

(CM)² Graduate Student (2009-2010)

Born in southern California, I have always had a mind for puzzles; however, I had no idea this was connected to math. I completed most of my general education while in high school, and then got burnt out and did nothing for a while. Eventually, life directed me to math at San Francisco State. I worked under Dr. Matthias Beck at SFSU and study lattice point enumeration, polytopes, and Hecke operators. I am currently a PhD student in mathematics at UC Davis.
