Alyssa Palfreyman
(CM)² Graduate Student (20122013)

I grew up in Southern California but decided to brave the snowy winters of Utah to study math as an undergraduate at BYU. I majored in math with an interest in becoming a math educator. In 2011 I student taught Algebra and Geometry at Berkeley High School and earned a math teaching credential from San Francisco State University. Though I enjoyed teaching during this time, I sincerely missed advanced study and research of higher mathematics and decided to continue my education into the math MA program at SFSU. I am currently developing my interests in algebraic combinatorics and excited to continue research while also working in secondary education.
