2008 LSAMP Mathematics Summer Bridge

Program dates:  June 30 - August 7 (Monday - Thursday)
Program times: 9:30 - Noon

This workshop is designed to prepare students to excel in precalculus and calculus.

Participating students will receive free copies of all necessary texts and a graphing calculator. Participants will also:
   * Learn how to do challenging assignments like those in precalculus.
   * Learn how to work collaboratively in student-to-student groups.
   * Learn how to approach "word problems."

Finally, students who successfully complete the Bridge/Workshop will receive a $600 stipend and be eligible for all other LSAMP programs. However the most important skill you will receive is the knowledge and basic skills for succeeding in college mathematics.
